Assistant Manger - Services

Role & responsibilities

1. Service Procurement Management:

• Oversee the procurement of all services required for plant operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
• Implement strategies for sourcing and contracting services while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with service providers to optimize costs and service quality under the guidance of sectional/functional/HOD.

2. Vendor Management:

• Identify and onboard qualified service providers to meet operational/ Business requirements.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring reliability and long-term collaboration.
• Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.

3. SAP and ERP Utilization:

• Use SAP, SAP MM module, and ERP software to manage procurement processes, from requisition to payment.
• Ensure accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting of service procurement activities.

4. Budget and Cost Optimization:

• Monitor and control budgets for service-related expenses.
• Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality or timelines.

5. Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including service contracts, purchase orders, and compliance records.

6. Coordination and Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and finance, to understand service requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving issues related to service procurement.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times in service procurement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in service procurement.
