IT By Design - Technology Expert - Windows Server Administration (5-7 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Windows Server Expertise :

- Possess 7+ years of experience in IT or a related field, with a strong focus on Windows Server administration.

- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Windows Server versions (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019) and their core functionalities.

- Manage essential Windows Server roles like Active Directory (AD), File and Print Services (FNP), DHCP, DNS, and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).

- Expertly troubleshoot, test, upgrade, and configure Windows system files and services.

Server Management & Optimization :

- Oversee server hardware and software installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.

- Administer and troubleshoot the Windows network environment, ensuring smooth operation and efficient communication.

- Monitor server performance and proactively identify potential issues.

- Conduct root cause analysis for server-related problems and implement effective solutions.

Virtualization :

- Possess working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.

- Manage virtual machines within the chosen virtualization platform for efficient resource utilization.

Communication & Skills :

- Excellent communication and technical troubleshooting skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and communication abilities.

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server administration.

- Proven track record of managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Windows Server environments.

- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server roles (AD, FNP, DHCP, DNS, RDS).

- Experience with server hardware and software installations/upgrades.

- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
