Duties & responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR):
1. Oversee the end-to-end AR process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
2. Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collections to maintain cash flow.
3. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies with customers.
4. Prepare AR aging reports and provide insights to the management.
5. Collaborate with sales teams to address credit limit issues and manage credit approvals.
6. Implement and monitor internal controls to minimize bad debts and credit risks.
Accounts Payable (AP):
1. Manage end-to-end AP operations, including vendor invoice processing and payments.
2. Review vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
3. Ensure timely processing of vendor payments, considering discounts and payment terms.
4. Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
5. Monitor and control expenses in alignment with organizational policies.
6. Assist in vendor onboarding and regular performance evaluation.
Team Leadership and Process Improvement:
1. Lead and mentor a team of junior/senior accountants to ensure smooth operations.
2. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in AR and AP workflows.
3. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
4. Assist in financial/ internal audits, providing necessary reports and documentation.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for budgeting and forecasting related to AR and AP.
Skill Required/Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience in AR, AP, Team handling.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and compliances
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership ability to manage and develop a team.
Qualifications:
- Education: MBA / Post Graduation /Graduation in Commerce/Accountancy with minimum 50%
- Characteristics: Go getter and leadership abilities
