Job Purpose:
The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health of the company, providing expert financial guidance and managing all financial aspects of the organization. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Finance Manager will work closely with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and oversee financial models and forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance and prepare reports to support business decisions.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including developing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and report on budget adherence and financial performance.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting cash needs and optimizing cash reserves.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Automation of recurring transactions
- Managing the external and Internal audits
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor finance team members.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Participate in financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, or other business initiatives.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
- Present financial information to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualification:
CA/CMA/MBA Finance
Experience:
CA - 4-5 years
CMA/MBA - Finance - 6-7 years
Skills:
Must Have:
- Strong ability to analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) and generate reports that guide business decisions
- Proficient in creating and managing budgets, and forecasting future financial trends to support business planning.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and financial regulations to ensure compliance.
- Expertise in managing a company's cash flow to ensure liquidity while balancing investments, costs, and profitability.
- Leading and managing finance teams, providing mentorship, and coordinating with other departments for financial alignment.
- Clear communication of complex financial data and strategies to senior management, stakeholders, and non-financial team members.
- Understanding tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements to avoid legal issues and fines.
- Familiarity with accounting and ERPs.
Good to Have:
- Using tools like looker studio to analyze large sets of financial data for deeper insights and improved decision-making.
- Understanding of international finance, exchange rates, and global markets, especially for companies operating internationally.
- Ability to manage stress, adapt to fast-changing environments, and lead with emotional intelligence to maintain team morale and collaboration.
