About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our Accounts Payable department.
The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Accounts Payable Operations:
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the accounts payable team.
- Review and approve invoices for payment accuracy and compliance.
- Process vendor payments through various methods (e., electronic funds transfer, check).
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounts payable operations.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Automate accounts payable processes wherever possible.
Vendor Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Negotiate payment terms and resolve vendor disputes.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly accounts payable reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Team Management:
- Hire, train, and mentor accounts payable staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Motivate and lead the accounts payable team.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's /master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
