About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Support Consultant to provide functional support for our Oracle e-Business Suite applications, specifically focusing on the HR and OTL (Time & Labour) modules, along with client-specific customizations.
This role will involve direct interaction with clients, requiring excellent communication and analytical skills to understand their needs, translate them into effective solutions, and manage incidents and requests efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting Oracle applications in mid-to-enterprise-level organizations and a strong understanding of ITIL processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Functional Support : Provide expert functional support for Oracle e-Business Suite applications, specializing in the HR and OTL modules, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user assistance.
- Requirements Gathering : Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for changes and enhancements to the Oracle applications.
- Solution Design : Translate business requirements into functional solutions and work closely with technical consultants to deliver these solutions effectively.
- Client Liaison : Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all requests for change are properly designed, assessed, prioritized, and managed through to completion, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Incident Management : Manage incidents within established SLAs, ensuring timely updates with high-quality information. Proactively identify and escalate potential problems.
- Problem Management : Identify root causes of recurring issues and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
- Training : Develop and deliver end-user training on application functionality and best practices.
- Testing : Create test plans, coordinate testing activities with stakeholders, and ensure thorough testing of all changes before deployment.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive change within the organization through negotiation and consensus-building.
- Project Support : Assist in ensuring that ERP initiatives follow proper planning, scheduling, and management processes. Contribute to risk management and change management activities on projects.
- Reporting : Utilize defect tracking systems to extract key data for weekly reporting and KPI tracking.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Application Support Consultant or a similar role supporting Oracle applications.
- Extensive experience in Oracle e-Business Suite implementations and/or upgrades.
- Strong expertise in Oracle HR and OTL (Time & Labour) modules.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and design into functional solutions.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes.
- Proven experience using defect tracking systems and generating reports for KPI monitoring.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and client management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with other Oracle e-Business Suite modules.
- Certification in ITIL or Oracle related technologies
