Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Asset Management Expert to join our growing team, managing the long-term performance, optimization, and lifecycle of Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets. This senior role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the operational performance, reliability, and efficiency of solar and energy storage systems across multiple projects. The position will report to the Head of Design and Engineering and work closely with project teams, operations, and maintenance groups to ensure assets are performing optimally and efficiently throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Asset Performance Management:
• Lead efforts in optimizing the performance and operational efficiency of solar PV and BESS systems by analyzing performance data, system outputs, and operational trends.
• Develop and implement predictive maintenance and performance monitoring systems to ensure solar and BESS assets meet or exceed performance expectations.
• Conduct detailed analysis of asset performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending strategies for enhanced operational efficiency.
• Lifecycle Management:
• Manage the full lifecycle of assets from commissioning to decommissioning, ensuring all maintenance and operational activities align with the asset's optimal performance.
• Develop and implement asset management strategies that balance cost optimization with high performance and asset lifespan.
• Oversee the establishment of maintenance schedules, asset inspections, and operational audits to ensure longevity and minimize downtime.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
• Identify risks related to asset degradation, performance anomalies, and operational inefficiencies and develop mitigation strategies.
• Implement and monitor risk management frameworks to address potential disruptions, including technological obsolescence, maintenance needs, and environmental impacts.
• Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure that asset design, installation, and integration account for long-term operational performance and risk mitigation.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Lead the analysis of operational data from solar and BESS assets to assess performance trends, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
• Regularly produce performance and condition reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and providing recommendations for operational enhancements.
• Develop actionable insights based on data analytics and translate them into practical solutions for improving asset management practices.
• Maintenance Strategy & Cost Optimization:
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize asset uptime and performance while controlling operational costs.
• Work with the operations and maintenance teams to ensure that assets are maintained to the highest standards, reducing unplanned downtime and costly repairs.
• Manage spare parts inventories, supply chain requirements, and cost optimization for long-term asset health.
• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
• Work closely with the Head of Design and Engineering, project teams, and operations staff to ensure smooth transitions from project commissioning to asset management and ongoing operation.
• Provide expertise and technical advice to other departments related to asset optimization, performance improvements, and risk management.
• Guide and mentor junior asset management and operations teams to build internal expertise and ensure consistency in asset management practices across the organization.
• Compliance & Regulatory Management:
• Ensure that all asset management processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols (e.g., IEC, UL, BIS, etc.).
• Ensure that assets are fully aligned with national and international performance, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Keep up to date with the latest advancements in renewable energy regulations, asset management technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in asset management, performance optimization, or operations management within the solar or energy storage sectors.
• Proven experience managing the lifecycle of Solar PV systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including commissioning, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Strong track record in optimizing asset performance and managing long-term operations, preferably within large-scale projects or across multiple sites.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of asset management strategies, predictive maintenance, and performance monitoring techniques for solar and BESS assets.
• Proficient in the use of asset management software and tools, as well as data analytics platforms (e.g., SCADA, PI System, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of solar energy and energy storage technologies, including the integration of BESS with solar PV systems.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide teams and drive change within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications:
• Professional certifications in Asset Management (e.g., ISO 55001, Certified Asset Management Professional - AMP).
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
• Technical Knowledge:
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as IEC, UL, ISO 9001, and ISO 55000.
• Experience with advanced monitoring and diagnostic technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, machine learning for predictive analytics).

Working Conditions:

• Based in Delhi or Jaipur with travel to project sites and operational facilities as required.
• Ability to work in both office settings and field environments.
• Occasional travel to other locations for site inspections, audits, and asset performance assessments.
