Job Description
- Material Procurement:
- Develop and implement material specifications and quality control plans.
- Oversee the entire procurement process of construction materials, including asphalt, concrete, aggregates, steel, and other relevant materials as per latest technology in the highway sector.
- To develop material testing and inspection process as per the project requirements and industry standards.
- Negotiate contracts with material suppliers and ensure timely delivery of materials to the project site.
- Engineering Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team on all engineering aspects of the projects.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve engineering-related challenges that arise during construction.
- Ensure adherence to design plans, specifications, and industry best practices.
- Conduct quality control inspections of construction work to ensure adherence to standards.
- Design Expertise:
- Review and analyze design plans and specifications.
- Identify and propose design modifications to improve constructability, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
- Assist in the development of value engineering proposals to optimize project costs.
- Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and subcontractors.
- Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues or concerns.
- Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations and project timelines.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
