Job Description

  • The Commercial Sales Manager is tasked with expanding our market presence in the commercial and industrial sector in Karnataka. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role involves integrating, promoting, and selling Solar Hitech's solar thermal/heat pump and solar power solutions portfolio to commercial and industrial clients across South India.

Solution Portfolio

  • Solar Thermal Solutions which includes Evacuated Tube Collector (ETC) and Flat Plate Collector (FPC) solutions for water heating with storage vessels and industrial pre-heating requirements
  • Heat Pump Solutions Stand Alone or Hybrid with solar for pressurized storage vessels with industrial pre-heating requirements.
  • Solar Photo Voltaic Solutions
  • Rooftop On-Grid and Off-Grid Solutions in the sub 1 MW range

Targets

  • Architects
  • Builders/Commercial Developers
  • MEP Consultants
  • Industrial Buyers across South India, who wish to implement solar solutions which includes steel, chemical, fabrication, plastic and other industry verticals

Responsibilities

Sales Planning, Lead Generation & Selling

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the commercial and industrial sector.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research and client networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.

Client Account Management Marketing

  • Maintain the relationship with existing institutional clients and follow up regularly to improve account sales or cross-sales of associated/complementary products/solutions such as AMC contracts
  • Ensure client installations are working in order and manage after-sales service with help from technical team.
  • Track any pending revenue collections from clients and manage credit.
  • Promote Solar Hitech institutional solutions using collateral/branding at special events/exhibitions.

Position Requirements

  • A graduate degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a degree relevant to the products that need to be sold.
  • Atleast 5 Years of prior sales/marketing experience with experience working in B2B/Institutional sales.
  • Consistent history of bringing annual sales closures of over 2 Cr in industries/verticals of relevance
  • Technical understanding of solar thermal, heat pump and PV solutions and their relevance to various industries/verticals.
  • Good communication skills a flair for sales and interacting with people.
  • Fluency in Hindi and English mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Tamil, Kannada or other languages will be considered a bonus.
  • Flexible to travel and meet clients at short notice.
  • Ability to work with MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel softwares.
  • Ability to make presentations to clients and soft skills.
  • Ability to grow commercial sales vertical exponentially by generating a healthy sales pipeline and closing leads.
