Senior Solar Designer

SELCO has been in the forefront of innovation in the Distributed Clean Energy space with focus on Health, Education, Livelihood, Water and other applications. The Senior Designer will be leading the Design Team and a key resource to provide technical expertise to the team for complex projects. Optimum Design should be arrived at considering technology, financial models, and long term sustainability. The role will require working closely with the Projects and Field team.

Whom we are looking

Responsibilities

• Lead the Design Team
• Need analysis of larger Solar Projects and propose the optimal solution to the customer
• Energy Audit of MSMEs, Health Centers
• Guide the Projects team from Site Assessment to Commissioning
• Troubleshoot any complex Installation issues
• Report writing and presenting
• Participation in conferences and seminars to represent the DRE sector

Requirements

• M.E/MTech/MS or Equivalent (Electrical/Electronics/Energy Management)
• Minimum 8-10 years of Overall Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience of designing of Solar projects
• Familiarity in using Solar System Design tools
• Self-motivated, responsible and should be engaged and highly interested in the developmental agenda
• Ability to learn quickly from multiple subject areas and be a team player with excellent managerial and people skills to mentor and motivate other team members
• Willingness to travel for 3-5 days in a month or on need basis
