Position: Purchase Head

Location: MIDC, Bhosari, Pune

Reports To: Managing Director

Job Summary: The Purchase Head will lead the procurement department, overseeing the

sourcing and acquisition of materials essential for sheet metal manufacturing. This role

involves developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring

cost-effective procurement to support the company's production and export activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to source high- quality sheet metal, components, tools, and other materials.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.
• Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of materials, aligning with production schedules and export demands.
• Cost Management: Analyse market trends to make informed purchasing decisions, aiming to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
