Role summary: Senior Account Specialist plays a crucial role within the CAM support team, providing essential guidance, support to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations for the entity.

Your key responsibilities
- Analyse financial variances in Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, providing commentary and actionable insights.
- Generate routine and ad hoc financial reports, including reconciliations and financial statements.
- Handle large datasets for informed decision-making.
- Support and proactively engage with internal and external audit activities.
- Conduct intra-group reconciliations to maintain accuracy across the Group.
- Collaborate with the General Ledger team to ensure correct processing of transactions and deliver accurate financial reporting in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Ensure adherence to the regulatory framework and accounting policies for financial integrity.
- Evaluate and refine accounting controls and processes to optimize performance.
- Support ad-hoc projects.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong background in accounting and financial controlling.
- A sound business sense with excellent numerical skills.
- Proven experience in preparing and analysing financial statements.
- Ability to prioritise activities and work diligently to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working both in a team environment, across functions and locations as well as working independently.
- Possess an open-minded and culturally sensitive outlook, a well-structured and self-driven work approach, and a drive for innovation.
- Positive a ttitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with an ability to challenge assumptions and decisions in an appropriate manner.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- At least 6 years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel capabilities.
- Analytical acumen with a knack for synthesizing insights from big data.
Ideally, you ll also have
- A good knowledge of and experience with SAP is preferred.
- A proactive, motivated attitude with adaptable communication skills.
