The Accounting Specialist plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day accounting operations of the business
This role requires experience in processing Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, Cash receipt application, Expense Report review, and month end close reconciliations
This role requires attention to detail, a strong knowledge of the Chart of Accounts and experience in a fast-paced, dynamic pre-IPO company
The successful candidate will report to the Accounting Manager and interact with the local outsourced accounting team when necessary
Key Responsibilities
Automation is central to our Accounting and Finance team and overall, company strategy. Celona s advanced suite of automated financial application platforms ensures accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities include:
Manage and maintain accurate and financial records including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and related reconciliations
Review of Expense reporting and related corporate credit card activity
Coordinate with suppliers and partners to ensure efficient onboarding, compliance management, timely processing of invoices and related payments.
Prepare month end Balance Sheet reconciliations timely and accurately with all required audit support.
Participate in external financial statement audits ensuring all documentation and processes meet audit requirements.
Experience with U.S GAAP requirements, internal controls and financial reporting
Liaison with the India outsourced accounting team
Essential Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance and Accounting or ACCA
3+ years of experience in accounting (AP, AR, and GL), Experience with modern bill pay and expense reporting tools is beneficial.
Hands on experience with ERP system and Microsoft applications
Emerging growth work experience preferred.
Proficiency of US GAAP, and internal controls.
Ability to work independently, problem solve and identify areas of improvement to enhance the accounting systems and processes
Flexible and efficient with time management to multitask when required.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with external vendors, partners and customers.
