Role & responsibilities

• The Accounts Payable Lead would be responsible for delivering against agreed key performance indicators and SLAs across the processes and ensuring that all AP related controls are implemented and performed, tracked and reported.
• As a leader, s/he will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and analysts to deploy and improve core GBS AP processes in India service center, deliver high quality services coupled with high level of customer satisfaction.
• Build effective, mutually beneficial, professional relationships with the market / business in which we serve, being pro active to ensure their satisfaction with our service levels.
• Set clear operational and/or service delivery standards of excellence and effectively drive teams to align and achieve.
• Be a change agent, understanding the GBS strategic vision and developing operational requirements to align with and implement it.
• Support with aligning systems, processes, and tools deployed with the GBS core model. Deliver work products across market and country boundaries in a standard/aligned way.
• Analyze performance, diagnose issues, identify opportunities, and drive value through collaboration. Ability to analyze various programs and processes and effectively prioritize and influence actions.
• Lead implementation of system and process enhancements to drive efficiencies and scalability
• Attend to the requirements of internal and external audits in accordance with local accounting, US GAAP, IFRS and SOX guidelines
• Hire, define objectives, evaluate, and develop employees for relevant competencies
• Operate the data governance process for the markets served by the service center, ensuring that internal information controls are complied with by clients and information requestors
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Minimum of 10-12 years of accounting / Accounts Payable Operations and supervisory experience post qualification
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business process execution or experience in a shared services / commercial real estate environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS office, and especially Excel, required; Oracle Fin experience strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge in the usage of large-scale ERP systems to improve transactional efficiency
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high quality solutions
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively. As our GBS centers will typically work with the Global accounting team, The incumbent will need to have excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the organization to achieve business results effectively and professionally.
• The incumbent would be expected to display high standards of engagement with customer stakeholders, GBS management and other stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills: ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
• Disciplined approach to documentation, due diligence, and controls management
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to set achievable milestones and progress complicated projects.
