Job Description
- In addition to specific competencies required for your role, you will also focus on developing the following in relation to firm-wide competencies
- Should have in great knowledge on the state tax compliance- Prepare and review state Tax returns and other relevant disclosure statements and jurisdictions.
- Should have knowledge about recent tax reforms, and how does it affect various state jurisdiction
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Ensuring use of the methodologies, tools and technology specific to tax- Should have in depth knowledge using Go-systems.
- Understanding of State Withholding and Composite returns
- Strong knowledge about state nexus concepts, apportionment methods, unitary, combined, and consolidated filings
- Identify the issues on an engagement, try to resolve and bring it to the attention of the Assistant Managers or Managers.
- Encouraging others to ask critical questions and share their ideas and concerns openly
- Provide balanced and constructive feedback with specific behavioural examples to the team members
- Developing strengths and opportunities collaboratively with team members by encouraging people to take action following feedback
- Contributing to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism towards work challenges
- Maintaining focus of team members on work products; holding others accountable for timely completion of high-quality work
- Showing a sense of urgency in responding to clients and team needs by responding to all queries/concerns promptly
- Focusing team members on key quality drivers for work assignments
- Building positive relationships with internal professionals and client personnel by demonstrating integrity and genuineness
- Graduate/Post graduate in a finance, numerical or statistical background
- EA certification will be an added advantage
- 3-4 Years of relevant State and local taxes experience.
