Job Description
The Opportunity:
Risk Solution Architect, specializing in Credit, Market, or Liquidity risk within the wholesale lending solutions domain. As our Solutions Architect youll play a key role in driving solution architecture design, evaluation and selection, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case that ensure financial stability and regulatory compliance.
Risk Solution Architect, specializing in Credit, Market, or Liquidity risk within the wholesale lending solutions domain. As our Solutions Architect youll play a key role in driving solution architecture design, evaluation and selection, buy vs. build decisions, and early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case that ensure financial stability and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive risk frameworks that address Credit, Market, or Liquidity risks within the lending context.
- Understand and help implement risk frameworks within the overall Risk Appetite Framework
- Work closely with the Portfolio Managers, Treasury, Risk Managers, Finance and O&T.
- Utilize Java, Python, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies to build scalable and efficient risk management solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration of risk management solutions with existing lending platforms and systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Risk Solutions topics, advising stakeholders on best practices and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, with a focus on Credit, Market, Treasury or Liquidity risk within the lending industry.
- Knowledge of financial products, pricing methodologies, risk management, Basel/CCAR regulatory requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of cloud-native development methodologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex risk scenarios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A passion for innovation and a drive to continuously improve risk management practices.
