Job Description

- Lead and manage all aspects of data migration, ensuring seamless and accurate transfer from legacy systems to new platforms.
- Work extensively with data migration tools such as Syniti, and other similar platforms, to ensure smooth execution of migration projects.
- Design and implement data migration solutions and specifications, aligning with the project goals and business requirements.
- Perform QA on data migrations, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and validation before, during, and after migration.
- ETL Processes and Tools
- Oversee the design, development, and execution of ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow across systems.
- Leverage industry-standard ETL tools to build reliable data pipelines that support business operations.
- Ensure the integration of clean and accurate data into target systems.
- Data Quality Management
- Define and implement data quality frameworks to ensure high levels of data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Establish data reconciliation methodologies to validate the successful migration of data and maintain ongoing data quality.
- Perform continuous monitoring and audits of data quality and reconciliation processes.
- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Lead and manage QA activities during data migration and ETL development, including mock runs and rigorous testing processes.
- Ensure that all data migration activities align with project timelines, quality standards, and performance benchmarks.
- Collaboration and Leadership
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business units, and technical teams to understand data requirements and provide architectural solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and analysts to ensure data-related activities are integrated into broader project strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior data engineers and analysts in data migration and ETL processes.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Document all aspects of the data architecture, including migration strategies, QA processes, data reconciliation steps, and ETL development
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on data migration progress, issues, and solutions.
This role will be critical in ensuring the success of our data architecture initiatives, providing strategic insights, technical expertise, and leadership to ensure the highest quality of data management and migration
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading data migration initiatives across complex systems.
- Proficiency with data migration tools (e.g., Syniti, Informatica, SAP Data Services) and ETL tools.
- Strong knowledge of data quality management, data reconciliation techniques, and data validation methodologies.
- Ability to design data migration solutions and perform QA on data migration and ETL developments.
- Solid experience in designing and overseeing mock runs, data validation, and data mapping processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience working within an enterprise environment, especially with large-scale ERP implementations.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in managing data architecture for ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data migration and data architecture solutions.
