As the Senior Ad Sales Manager for Delhi Press Magazines based in Mumbai, your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue generation (Print + Digital), and establish strong relationships with clients. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring client satisfaction and revenue growth.
You will be representing some of the most widely read magazines in India, as well as their digital editions. A strong emphasis of the role will be on branded content sales, as well as increasing the digital revenues for Delhi Press magazine websites.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize revenue from ad sales in Mumbai and surrounding regions.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, advertising agencies, and media buyers, serving as a key point of contact for their advertising needs.
Ad Space Sales: Identify and target potential advertisers and promote ad space in Delhi Press magazines and websites, to generate revenue and meet or exceed sales goals.
Branded Content Sales: Ideating and conceptualizing branded content ideas across print, digital, and events, in collaboration with the marketing, digital, and editorial teams
Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value and benefits of advertising in Delhi Press magazines.
Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, competitive activities, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and stay ahead of the competition.
Sales Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, revenue forecasts, and market analysis for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration with Internal Teams: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as editorial, production, digital and marketing to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns and client satisfaction.
Sales Targets: Set ambitious sales targets for the team and drive them towards achieving or surpassing them, contributing to the overall revenue growth of Delhi Press magazines.
Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and industry regulations while conducting sales activities.
Requirements:
Education: A bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Additional qualifications in sales or advertising will be advantageous.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in media sales, advertising sales, or related roles, with a proven track record of successful sales and team management.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the advertising industry, media landscape, and magazine publishing sector.
Sales Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in sales, negotiation, and closing deals, with a track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation abilities and the ability to articulate complex ideas concisely.
