We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic IT Sales Professional for the role of Vertical Head - Government Sales to drive our growth within the public sector.

Job Summary:
- The Head - IT Government Sales will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new government clients and expand business with existing ones.
- This role requires a deep understanding of the government procurement process, strong relationships within the public sector, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and a results-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Planning & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for government sales, focusing on both short-term and long-term growth objectives.
- This includes identifying key target agencies, developing targeted value propositions, and creating a robust sales pipeline.
- Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and fostering strategic partnerships with government departments, agencies, and large business aggregators.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas.
- Market Penetration: Ensure 100% presence across all emerging business opportunities within the government sector and position Cyfuture as a competitive industry leader.
- Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Utilize strategic go-to-market models and tactical approaches to expand Cyfuture's engagement within the government ecosystem.
- This may include participating in industry events, developing thought leadership content, and leveraging digital marketing channels.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Build and lead a high-performing sales team, ensuring effective market penetration.
- Mentor team members, provide ongoing coaching and development, and design sales training and incentive programs to maximize team performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, and Delivery, to drive business objectives and ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Client Relationship Management: Engage with client organizations at multiple levels, including C-level executives, to understand their business needs and align Cyfuture's IT solutions accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
- Sales Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate sales records, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports on sales performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field (preferably from a premier institute).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT sales within the government sector, preferably selling cloud and data center services, public/private cloud services, and IT infrastructure solutions.
- Strong existing network of OEM connections in Server, Storage, Networking, Security, and Cloud domains.
- Deep technical expertise in Cloud Computing, Data Center infrastructure, System Integration (SI), Web Hosting, Cloud Migrations, and Deployments.
- Proven hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Oracle Cloud.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate sales teams, mentor professionals, and drive sales excellence.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
- A passion for driving business growth and fostering long-term client relationships.
