Vice President of Marketing

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As the VP of Marketing, you will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance brand visibility, drive customer acquisition, and foster seamless customer experiences across both our B2B and B2C channels. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product and Sales, to deliver measurable results.

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT

CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and signup of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loan, and residential solar plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Providers and has several White label partners and other co-branded partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insurance products). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.

On 15 March 2022, CIMET decided to partner with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new verticals including Home loans, Car loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. Additionally, CIMET has plans to expand into multiple geographies including India. CIMET today has around 130+ resources across Australia and India and will grow to over 200 over the next 2 years.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement a robust marketing plan for the B2B brand CIMET and B2C brand Econnex.
• Align marketing initiatives with business goals to drive revenue and market share growth.

Organic Growth:

• Create and execute a strategy to achieve 1 million organic reach for Econnex by June 2026.
• Build and optimize content, SEO, and social media strategies to enhance brand visibility.

Paid Marketing:

• Scale Econnexs paid marketing budget while ensuring cost efficiency and maintaining a competitive CPA.
• Optimize digital advertising campaigns across platforms to ensure cost efficiency and ROI.

Brand Experience:

• Ensure consistency in brand messaging and experience across employees, customers, and communication channels (internal and external).
• Develop initiatives to enhance overall brand perception and customer loyalty.

Customer Experience:

• Collaborate with the Product team to improve the overall customer journey and satisfaction.
• Leverage customer insights to create targeted campaigns and enhance user engagement.

Visibility and Awareness:

• Drive campaigns to increase brand visibility and market awareness.
• Develop partnerships, PR strategies, and innovative marketing campaigns to position CIMET and Econnex as market leaders.

Leadership and Team Development:

• Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Mentor team members to develop skills and achieve professional growth.

Qualifications And Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of scaling paid marketing efforts and achieving aggressive growth targets.
• Expertise in SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and content strategy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Experience working in the energy, telecom, or comparison platforms is a plus.
