CIMET - Senior PHP Developer - Laravel/Lumen (8-15 yrs)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer (Laravel & Lumen) to join our team in Jaipur.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP Laravel, JavaScript, NodeJS and will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance, and managing technical aspects of development.

ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT :

CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and signup of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loan, and residential solar plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Providers and has several White label partners and other co-branded partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insuranceproducts). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.

On 15 March 2022, CIMET decided to partner with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new verticals including Home loans, Car loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. Additionally, CIMET has plans to expand into multiple geographies including India. CIMET today has around 130+ resources across Australia and India and will grow to over 200 over the next 2 years.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

- Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Lumen.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs for various applications, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.

- Conduct unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality and reliability.

- Handle complex module development, ensuring scalability and maintainability of code.

- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.

- Utilize version control systems (Git) for managing codebase changes effectively.

- Work with database technologies including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to design efficient data storage solutions.

- Use tools like Postman or Swagger for API documentation and testing.

PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES :

- Proven experience in API development, ensuring robust communication between different software components.

- Strong understanding of unit testing principles to maintain code quality.

- Ability to handle complex module development tasks independently or as part of a team.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to resolve problems on nonroutine matters.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills being an eTective team player, being able to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

- Minimum 8+ years of commercial experience with (PHP Laravel, JavaScript, MongoDB, MySQL, GraphQL).

- Must have skills : PHP Laravel and JavaScript.

- PHP : Strong knowledge of core PHP along with experience in Laravel and Lumen frameworks.

- JavaScript : Proficiency in NodeJS, ReactJS, and GraphQL for building interactive web applications.

- Database Management : Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.

- Version Control : Familiarity with Git for version control management.to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.
