Job Description

Job Title: Territory Sales Executive/Sales Engineer

Location: Kolkata

Territory: North India

Company: Chemtex Speciality Ltd.

Industry: Specialty Chemicals / Industrial Sales

Job Type: Full-Time

Experience: 1-2 Years in B2B Sales

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical) from any government college/university


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by managing existing customers and acquiring new clients in the industrial chemical segment. This role requires a strategic mindset to develop new business opportunities, ensure CRM compliance, and undertake extensive travel to designated areas for 15-20 days per month.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:

1) Drive sales growth from existing and new customers.

2) Identify and convert potential business opportunities.

3) Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

4) Engage in robust touring and travel extensively within designated areas.

  • Lead Generation & Market Expansion:

1) Identify and develop new business opportunities within the industry.

2) Generate quality leads for new product lines.

3) Expand the customer base by adding new organizations.

4) Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.

  • CRM Activity & Compliance:

1) Ensure timely logging of phone calls and emails in the CRM system.

2) Maintain accurate customer records and sales progress updates.

  • Marketing & Target Achievement:

1) Execute marketing strategies and drive brand awareness.

2) Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance product positioning.

  • New Business Development:

1) Identify and create leads for new projects and potential customers.

2) Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve sales and market penetration.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in industrial sales (preferably industrial products).
  • Proficiency in CRM software and lead management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competition.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (15-20 days per month).
