We are currently looking for a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the Payroll Domain. Please find the attached JD of the requirement and about the organization Cast & Crew- The premier provider of production software, payroll, and services to the Global Entertainment Industry, headquartered in Burbank, CA.

Shift timings for the requirement will be 3:00 pm to 12:00 am - HYBRID MODE (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday work from the office & Monday and Friday work from home).

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the payroll business domain to lead business analysis initiatives for our software development projects. The Senior Business Analyst will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that payroll software solutions align with business objectives and compliance requirements. This role requires basic conceptual understanding and knowledge of payroll processes, wage calculation, tax withholdings and other deductions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll processes, attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, and IT departments, to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements related to payroll systems.
• Business Process Analysis: Analyze existing payroll processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Solution Design: Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring the payroll system meets user needs and adheres to relevant compliance standards.
• Project Leadership: Lead business analysis efforts for complex projects, ensuring timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Testing & Validation: Develop test plans and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system changes meet business requirements.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure payroll solutions comply with relevant laws and regulations, mitigating potential business risks.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, workflows, and system changes for auditing and future reference.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 8-10 years of business analysis experience in the software industry, with at least 5 years focused on the payroll domain.
• Proven experience with payroll systems, including payroll processing, compliance, tax regulations, and integration with financial systems.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of database concepts, data mapping, and system integration.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, and Visio for requirements management and documentation.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience working with global payroll solutions or multi-country payroll processing.
