Title - Senior .Net Development (Sr. Software Engineer)

We are currently looking for a Senior .Net Developer (Sr. Software Engineer) position. Please find the attached JD of the requirement and about the organization Cast & Crew- The premier provider of production software, payroll, and services to the Global Entertainment Industry, headquartered in Burbank, CA.

Shift timings for the requirement will be Normal Shifts 8 Hrs in the office and 1 Hr with the calls and overlapping with PST timing from Home - HYBRID MODE (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday work from the office & Monday and Friday work from home).

Position Overview

The Sr. Software Engineer is a highly experienced .NET Core software engineer, who will help to build our next generation of Payroll processing system, tools and services while working closely with other talented engineers to help drive the migration from C to C#. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams to help determine the best directions, solutions and approaches in an Agile/Kanban environment.

The ideal candidate will be communicative, versatile, and highly motivated with a strong sense of commitment and teamwork. A background in payroll and financial systems is preferred.

Essential Functions

• As an integral part of the payroll engineering team, design, build and enhance new payroll processing application software for the entertainment industry
• Assist the current team in the adoption and migration to C#
• Help establish a center of excellence around C# and .NET core
• Build highly scalable and available RESTful web services
• Work closely with the team, development manager, QA, and product managers to design and implement new feature requests
• Introduce and follow best practices related to designing, coding, testing application software and web services using C# in a continuous integration environment
• Follow established SDLC processes and recommend improvements to effectively deliver change within the environment
• As part of a team, implement large, complex enterprise software systems from the ground up
• Recommend new technologies, tools and standards to improve efficiency and productivity within the team
• Research, test, and implement new technologies to support the application architecture.

Requirements

• 6+ years hands-on .NET and .NET Core (C#, .NET core, Rest, Web API) development
• 6+ years using SQL and relational databases (Oracle and PSL/SQL a plus)
• Experience implementing and delivering solutions using .NET core
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and web services
• Proven communication and teamwork skills in a highly collaborative environment
• Experience designing and building highly available, scalable and secure enterprise applications
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging solutions highly desired
• Experience working in a Linux environment a plus
• Experience in C a plus
• Azure DevOps - CI/CD pipeline knowledge required
• Experience building and supporting large, multi-tenant web based and/or client server applications
• Experience and knowledge of SOA, DDD design patterns, data structures and algorithms. TDD a plus
• Must understand SOLID principles
• Experience with role and rule-based security and authentication tools and best-practices
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM/Kanban development environment
• Financial systems experience (accounting, payroll, etc.) a plus
• BSCS or equivalent experience required, advanced degree a plus
