Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Software QA to lead the QA practice for our SaaS CLM product. This role involves strategizing, implementing, and managing robust QA processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software that meets and exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with business objectives and industry standards, with a focus on SaaS and CLM.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Establish and implement QA policies, procedures, and methodologies to enhance product quality and delivery efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and project management to identify quality improvement opportunities and drive implementation.
- Design, implement, and oversee automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and improve overall efficiency. Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy.
- Monitor and analyze product quality metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of quality objectives and requirements.
- Define clear quality goals, metrics, and KPIs.
- Design and implement robust QA processes, including test planning, test case design, test automation, performance testing, security testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Establish a robust defect management process, ensuring timely identification, tracking, resolution, and reporting of defects. Analyze defect trends and identify areas for improvement in the development process.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality processes and practices, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities to optimize testing methodologies and improve overall product quality.
What you bring:
- Proven track record of leading and managing QA teams and implementing QA strategies for complex software products, ideally SaaS products in the CLM domain.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing tools, and automation frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable quality improvement initiatives.
- 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in QA within the IT industry.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications in QA (e.g., ISTQB, Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in QA leadership roles.
- Experience with SaaS products and cloud-based platforms is essential.
- Experience in the CLM domain is a significant advantage.
- Proven track record of leading and managing QA teams and implementing QA strategies for complex software products, ideally SaaS products in the CLM domain.
