Job Title: Project Quality Manager

Location: Bangalore India

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Product Quality Leader to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the product development lifecycle. This role involves proactive quality planning, risk management, and continuous improvement to deliver exceptional products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactive Quality Planning: Develop and implement quality plans and strategies during the product development phase to ensure a high level of quality that meet our customers expectations.
Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation plans to address them early in the development process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to integrate quality into every stage of the product lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality assurance processes, including inspections, testing, and validation, to ensure product reliability and performance.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality plans, procedures, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance.
Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
Customer Focus: Work to understand and liaise customer quality requirements and ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.
Reactive Quality Management: Address quality issues as they arise including root cause analysis, corrective & preventative actions, and continuous monitoring to prevent recurrence and ensure customer satisfaction.
Design for Safety and Reliability: This role will evolve into a Design for Safety and Reliability practitioner, focusing on integrating safety and reliability principles into the product design process to ensure robust and dependable products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or relative experience.
Proven experience in quality planning and assurance within a product development environment.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Certification in quality management & problem solving (e.g., Six Sigma, RedX, 8D) is a plus.
