Position: Quality Manager
Location: Project site at Christchurch, New Zealand

Job Overview:
As a Quality Manager for 170MW Ground Mount Solar PV Projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various stakeholders to guarantee the successful delivery of ground-mounted solar photovoltaic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Quality Management System for ground mount solar PV projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections of solar PV installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate and oversee testing procedures for solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.
- Generate regular reports for project stakeholders, highlighting key quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Supplier and Contractor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to establish and maintain quality expectations.
- Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks related to project quality and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues promptly.
- Training and Development: Provide training to project team members and contractors on quality procedures and standards.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the project team.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure that the project activities comply with local, state, and national regulations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality-related concerns.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and monitor project performance against these metrics.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve quality processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of Proven experience in quality management, preferably in the solar energy or construction industry.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001) is a plus.
- Knowledge of solar PV technology and ground mount installations is highly desirable.
- Preference for New Zealand based candidates/Holding PR only.
