Role Summary:
Overview: As the 'Vice President - Projects', you will be responsible for the overall direction and management of the project lifecycle across our co-working spaces. This includes overseeing the execution of construction, interior design, renovations, and other space-related initiatives. You will work cross-functionally with design, real estate, finance, marketing, and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the company's high standards.
What you will do:
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Lead the planning and execution of multiple projects involving the development and improvement of co-working spaces and managed offices.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure the alignment of projects with overall company objectives, including growth and market expansion.
Project Management:
- Oversee day-to-day project management, including risk management, stakeholder communication, and change management.
- Monitor progress on active projects, ensuring they meet agreed-upon milestones, timelines, and quality standards.
- Establish and implement project management processes and tools.
- Manage a team of project managers and other related personnel, providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets for projects, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
- Review and approve project costs, vendor contracts, and financial reporting.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to align project initiatives with business goals and customer needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with key external partners, including architects, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure regular updates are provided to senior leadership on the progress of projects.
Innovation & Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve the design and functionality of co-working spaces and managed offices.
- Implement best practices for project execution and encourage innovation within the project team.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, inspire, and develop the project management team to maximize productivity and collaboration.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 16-18 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role, ideally in the real estate, construction, or hospitality industries.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
- Familiarity with co-working space models and trends is a plus.
