Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Civil Engineer with 10 to 15 years of industry expertise to lead, design, and manage our greenfield projects. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, advanced technical knowledge, and a strong track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The role requires a strategic thinker, problem-solver, and an expert in both design and implementation of civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

o Lead the planning, design, and execution of school buildings

o Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks to ensure successful project delivery.

o Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies,

o Coordinating with local neighbourhoods and local authorities

2. Design & Technical Expertise:

o Develop detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications in line with industry standards and regulations.

o Oversee design reviews, technical calculations, and construction documentation.

o Developing project plan and schedules with detailed WBS

o Ensure the integrity and performance of engineering systems by applying advanced civil engineering principles.

o Provide expert consultation on geotechnical, structural, hydraulic, and environmental aspects of projects.

o Billing and certifications experience to cost control the project

o Experience and knowledge in MEP services to maintain asses the design requirements and design solutions by consultants.

o Experience budgeting and market rates of the base building to assess the project cost

o Documentation on quality , compliance and project planning

3. Quality Assurance:

o Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client specifications.

o Conduct inspections and audits during construction to verify adherence to design specifications.

o Resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

o Ensure that all designs and construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

o Prepare and submit necessary documentation for environmental permits, zoning, and other regulatory approvals.

5. Team Leadership:

o Mentor and guide junior engineers and project staff, providing technical oversight and career development opportunities.

o Promote collaboration within cross-functional teams and across different departments.

6. Stakeholder Relations:

o Communicate effectively with contractors , provide regular updates, and address any concerns.

o Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to ensure alignment with project goals.

CANDIDATE PROFILE SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

EXPERIENCE: 10 to 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on large infrastructure projects. Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, etc.).

SKILLSET:

- Strong understanding of geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering principles.

- Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering projects from concept through completion.

- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NBC, Fire Norms, etc).

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

- Expertise in construction management and contract administration.

- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.

- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

OTHER CONDITIONS:

1. Willingness to travel extensively

2. Should be able to join within 60 days from date of offer
