- Payroll Processing: Accurately process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and commission-based staff.
- Deductions and Benefits: Ensure correct deductions for taxes, benefits, retirement plans, garnishments, etc.
- Payroll Records Management: Maintain detailed payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and benefits.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal tax laws, and ensure the company's payroll complies with regulations.
- Tax Reporting: Prepare and file necessary payroll tax reports (e.g., W-2s, 1099s, and quarterly tax filings).
- Employee Queries: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing timely responses and support.
- Timekeeping Systems: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of timekeeping systems and work with managers to address discrepancies.
- Year-End Reporting: Assist in year-end reporting, including preparing and distributing W-2 forms and other year-end payroll documentation.
- Reporting: Generate internal reports, such as payroll summaries, labor cost analysis, and payroll forecasts.
- System Updates: Maintain and update the payroll system as necessary, ensuring system integrity and smooth payroll processing.
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive employee data with confidentiality and in compliance with data privacy laws.
