Job Description
Educational Qualification : Full time PG Degree/MBA/MSW
Experience : 10-15 years
Experiences & Expertise :
- Minimum 10/15 years of work experience with minimum 3 years in a lead role
- Active experience managing a direct team of 3-5 members
- Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with internal & external stakeholder
- knowledge and experience with labour law, collective bargaining, contract management.
- Experience in a similar business/ industry,
- Must have exposure to managing plant IR & Statutory compliances
- Know-how of digital platform for IR & Compliances
- Hands-on experience dealing with blue collar workforce, unions, statutory authorities
Key Deliverables
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation at the BU level and ensure adherence to various statutory compliances such as Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, EPF Act, Employees Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act etc
- Act on issues relating to disciplinary actions in plants and offices across the organization
- Attend to disputes and disagreements between employees individually or collectively represented by unions and redress them.
- Ensure that all labour laws are complied with in matters of employment either regular or contractual
- Interact frequently with labour and trade unions at various sites and build relationships for benefit of labour and management
- Maintain close contact with companys solicitors and advocates on labour issues.
- Able to handle Union and Multiple Plants handling
- Ensure the smooth formulation & implementation of long term settlements.
- Implement proper grievance redressal system for plants
- Ensure that licenses for plants and offices under labour legislations are obtained/ renewed in time
- Ensure the welfare measures and compliance with the law
- Facilitate compliance audits
- Facilitate statutory authority visits
- Coordinate with Labour Contract Agencies and ensure deployment of contact workmen
- Liaison with statutory authorities & local administration
- Training of stakeholders on the compliances
- Able to manage compliance on the digital platform
