Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Masters degree in relevant field preferred
- 5 to 7 years of experience in smelting operations, preferably in the copper industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of smelting processes, equipment, and safety protocols
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day smelting operations in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and equipment to achieve production targets
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain product integrity
- Lead and mentor a team of smelting technicians and operators
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address safety hazards
- Participate in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Prepare reports on production, quality, and operational performance
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation
