Job Description
- Bachelors degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Masters degree in relevant field (preferred)
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the copper industry
- Proven track record in smelting operations
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the copper smelter, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
- Optimize the smelting processes to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards
- Lead and guide the smelting team to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime
- Collaborate with maintenance and technical teams to address any equipment issues and ensure timely maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any safety or process deviations
- Prepare and maintain production reports, analyze data, and recommend process improvements
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and competencies
