Role Overview:
We seek a dynamic and seasoned HR leader to join our organization in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will bring 15-20 years of comprehensive human resources experience, with a proven track record of driving strategic HR initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture, and aligning people strategies with business goals. The role is based in Kolkata and will require an in-depth understanding of labour laws, industrial relations, and talent management specific to the mining sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute human resource strategies aligned with organizational objectives and growth plans.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Lead recruitment efforts for critical roles, build employer branding and implement retention strategies.
- Industrial Relations & Compliance: Manage labour relations, and negotiations, and ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Workforce Planning & Management: Oversee manpower planning, skill gap analysis, and succession planning.
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement through employee engagement initiatives.
- Training & Development: Design and implement training programs to upskill employees, promote leadership development and address industry-specific needs.
- Performance Management: Establish performance evaluation systems, drive goal-setting processes, and manage rewards and recognition frameworks.
- Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives and act as a key advisor to senior management on people-related matters.
- HR Operations & Analytics: Oversee HR operations, payroll, and benefits, and leverage HR analytics for data-driven decision-making.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 15-20 years in HR leadership roles, preferably in mining, heavy industries, or manufacturing.
- Education: Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of labour laws, factory acts, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Leadership: Strategic thinker who can influence and inspire teams across all levels.
