Job Title: Zonal Brand Building Head

About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join as a Zonal Brand Building Head to drive brand visibility, consumer engagement, and trade marketing initiatives across the zone. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Brand Management, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, and GTM Strategy, specifically in a B2C environment.
The role requires someone who can influence mid-senior management, lead distributed teams, and build high-impact marketing programs that drive brand equity and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Building & Management:
- Drive regional brand building strategies to enhance consumer awareness and brand preference.
- Develop and execute localized BTL marketing campaigns, POSM deployment, and consumer engagement activities.
- Lead rural marketing initiatives, ensuring maximum reach in key territories.
Trade Marketing & Shopper Marketing:
- Design and implement trade marketing strategies to drive demand generation through channel partners, influencers, and retailers.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to enhance shopper experience at the point of sale (POS).
- Own the GTM (Go-to-Market) strategy for product launches and key marketing campaigns.
Exhibitions & Events:
- Plan and manage participation in exhibitions, events, and large-scale activations to drive brand visibility.
- Ensure efficient POSM (Point of Sale Material) development and vendor management for high-impact visibility at retail outlets.
Cross-Functional Influence:
- Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and marketing teams to drive aligned business outcomes.
- Influence mid-senior stakeholders in the region to adopt and execute brand strategies effectively.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a distributed team across the zone to execute brand marketing and trade marketing initiatives.
- Build capabilities within the team to drive consistent and scalable brand visibility efforts.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: ~12 years of overall experience with at least 8+ years in Brand Management, Trade Marketing, or Shopper Marketing.
- Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates from Paints, FMCG, or Building & Construction Brands.
- Education: Full-time MBA from a Premier Institute specializing in Marketing.
Functional Expertise:
- Brand Management, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing
- BTL (Below-the-Line) GTM Strategy
- Rural Marketing & Activations
- POSM (Point of Sale Material) Development & Vendor Management
Soft Skills:
- Ability to influence and manage mid-senior management stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, especially managing distributed teams.
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
- Language (Preferred): While not mandatory, proficiency in at least one South Indian language will be advantageous.
