Demi Chef De Partie - Tandoor

About The Role :
We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef De Partie specializing in Tandoor cooking to join our culinary team in Gandhinagar, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes using traditional tandoor cooking techniques while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor dishes, including breads, meats, and vegetables, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tandoor station, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards

Assist in inventory management and stock rotation for the tandoor section

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in tandoor cooking techniques

Ensure timely preparation and delivery of tandoor dishes during service hours

Contribute to menu planning and suggest seasonal specials featuring tandoor-cooked items

Participate in regular team meetings to discuss kitchen operations and customer feedback

Assist other kitchen stations as needed during peak hours

Qualifications

Proven experience (1-2 years) as a Demi Chef De Partie or in a similar role, with a focus on tandoor cooking

In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine and expertise in various tandoor cooking techniques

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and relevant health regulations

Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution (preferred)

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Physical stamina to work long hours in a hot kitchen environment

Creativity and passion for developing new tandoor-based dishes

Basic English communication skills

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays

Commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused cuisine
