Round: Test
Experience: I was among the top ten students of my branch so it helped me a lot to gain confidence over things before the test.
The aptitude questions were average and so were the english ones.
Tips: Basic practice will go a long way in getting you through the tests. It helped me. It will help you too.
Duration: 45 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: My all over knowledge was being checked. I got tensed when I couldn't answer one or two of the questions. But once I gained momentum, it helped me to answer the questions put up.
Tips: You have to study your core subjects very well. It's a core company and will only take you if you are in the top 30 students of your college and have good knowledge of civil engineering.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Firstly asked me to tell something about myself.. He had some queried about my responsibilities for my family . After cleared those he asked about my working experience, safety related questions.
After that he started to ask me some questions from design of machine which i could not make him satisfy with my answer
Then he asked about my favourite topic during diploma engineering.. as i said him IC engine, steam engine, heat transfer, pump he started to ask questions from there like what is engine, types, d/f among them , volumetric efficiency, stroke length, compression ratio, turbocharger, pump working principle etc..
I attended those all
After that he gave some info about site environment, and asked to me that i m ok with it or not..
That's it..
Be confident and be honest are the key to crack L&T interview..
