Interview Preparation Tips

General Tips: This interview was a technical one but was majorly a stress test. It lasted for about 1 hour 10 minutes. The interviewer wanted to test both my knowledge and communication skills. Most of the questions asked to me were related to my B.Tech curriculum i.e. computer science related topics. He stressed a lot on the basics related to my project topic. Luckily I was able to answer most of the questions correctly. I tried to answer each question with examples and also used props on the table (like pens, paperweights, pen stands etc.) to explain my theories. It was my first offcampus interview, and I think I did pretty well for a fresher.
You need to stay calm and should apply presence of mind. Please go through the job description thoroughly word-by-word and recheck your resume to ensure that you are a best-fit for the position.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Campus drive -GD,HR,HR Interview
Experience: I reached the office at morning 9. Why because they mentioned the interview time was 9 in the offer letter. I was the only one who went there first I was waiting till 10:30, one by one people who got selected in campus drive came After certain number of people came one HR came and escort all the participants in a place like an auditorium. Then they explain about their company and all the stuffs and it got noon. I went to eat with the people who came for the interview and I met so many peoples they became friends to me. After that I started to have interview in calls. Then waited for the results it became evening But unfortunately I didn't got selected, its because that was my first interview I was really nervous and may be my answers were not that much satisfier. After that I left from there. But now I'm ready to face anything.
Tips: You just have to think like we are taking to a customer, our main aim has to make them feel satisfied. Talk with Courage and confidence.

Skills: Communication, Body Language, Problem Solving, Analytical Skills, Leadership, Presentation Skills, Time Management, Decision Making Skills
Duration: <1 week

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Questions of verbal and logical reasoning, data interpretation etc.
Duration: 90-120 minutes

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: The topic will be relevant to the times and you will have
about 2 minutes of speaking time, in total, if you're lucky. Make that count.
The GD topic was "FDI in Indian Economy". You could take it in a positive or negative stride. However, the stand had to be backed up by solid facts and emphatic statements. Some keywords were, loss of jobs(-), R&D(+), corruption and red tapism(-), higher prices for raw materials(+) etc.
Tips: GDs have a tendency to become a shouting match, the end result in such cases is the entire group getting rejected. If however, it does become a slugfest, the better option is to calm the offended party by playing the
moderator. The objective of any healthy group discussion is listening to everybody's opinion and offering arguments or counter arguments till most of the people are convinced and find a common ground. Opening
the GD can fetch you important points but do so only if you are immensely confident about what you are going to say. There are numerous sites/blogs out there which can help you with the nuances of a GD, but nothing beats practise and mock runs.
Duration: 15-20 minutes

Round: Interview
Experience: Personal Interviews(10-30 min)- If you've sufficiently impressed the interviewer during the interview process, it'll be a breeze. If you've left him on the fence, he'll grill you enough till he reaches a decision.
Know your CV inside out, rehearse the questions with a friend, attend workshops organised by the Placement Office. The interviewer has the right to question ANYTHING(hobbies/languages/extra currics)
you put on your CV.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Most of the time the others were away from the topic and most of the times I was asking them to come back on the main subject. That really helped me.
Tips: Stay focussed on the topic given, don't deviate.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was HR plus technical interview. They asked me tricky questions but it went quite well. It lasted for 50 mins. They ask questions from the resume. Like from the skills you have mentioned, they ask experiences that justify those skills.

General Tips: Be authentic in your interview and tell them everything confidently!
Skills: Communication Skills, Leadership qualities
College Name: SGTB Khalsa College

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: First round was a written test which had 20 MCQ's in the field of Databases, Theory of computation, Operating systems, Data Structures and Algorithms and one programming question. 7 students (4 B.Tech, 3 M.Tech) got through to the interviews. Most of the interviews were held in the Google Bangalore campus. There were a total of 5 rounds of interviews. All based on Data Structures and Algorithms. Each round had 2 questions for which we were usually supposed to explain the algorithm first and then write the code on a Google doc. It was a really great experience. I got a chance to visit both Google Bangalore and Hyderabad campuses and taste their awesome food.
Total Questions: 20

General Tips: Practice your coding skills. Writing a neat code is very important. Interviewers not just look for a good algorithm but also your coding style (indentation, variable names, simplicity etc.)
