Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Campus drive -GD,HR,HR Interview
Experience: I reached the office at morning 9. Why because they mentioned the interview time was 9 in the offer letter. I was the only one who went there first I was waiting till 10:30, one by one people who got selected in campus drive came After certain number of people came one HR came and escort all the participants in a place like an auditorium. Then they explain about their company and all the stuffs and it got noon. I went to eat with the people who came for the interview and I met so many peoples they became friends to me. After that I started to have interview in calls. Then waited for the results it became evening But unfortunately I didn't got selected, its because that was my first interview I was really nervous and may be my answers were not that much satisfier. After that I left from there. But now I'm ready to face anything.
Tips: You just have to think like we are taking to a customer, our main aim has to make them feel satisfied. Talk with Courage and confidence.

I applied via Recruitment Consultant and was interviewed in Mar 2018. There were 4 interview rounds.

Interview Questionnaire

1 Question

 • Q1. Asked general questions about previous company & experience. expectation about salary.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Aptitude test, psycho matrix test, Logical Test,

General Tips: This interview was a technical one but was majorly a stress test. It lasted for about 1 hour 10 minutes. The interviewer wanted to test both my knowledge and communication skills. Most of the questions asked to me were related to my B.Tech curriculum i.e. computer science related topics. He stressed a lot on the basics related to my project topic. Luckily I was able to answer most of the questions correctly. I tried to answer each question with examples and also used props on the table (like pens, paperweights, pen stands etc.) to explain my theories. It was my first offcampus interview, and I think I did pretty well for a fresher.
You need to stay calm and should apply presence of mind. Please go through the job description thoroughly word-by-word and recheck your resume to ensure that you are a best-fit for the position.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Each and every one was given sufficient time to express their opinions but since there are more than 100 guys you are competing with, do try to make an impression somewhere on the mind of the recruiter.
Tips: Nothing specifically, similar to the cliche GDs that all the other firms take but the only point to be kept in mind in case of Flipkart is, from the list of 120 odd people it is gonna come down to 50. So, try to keep that in mind.
Duration: 15-20 minutes

Round: Guesstimate Interview
Experience: It was pretty chilled out, since they will try to help you all along. Difficulty level was okayish, nothing to be afraid of. Slight CV grilling and basic HR questions too were covered in this round. No monsters there.
Tips: Make use of the paper they give you. try to be as graphically illustrative as possible. Think out loud. Make them move along with you, hence if you get stuck up they will be able to help you instantly, saving you some time. Also, this will keep them involved and interested in you.

Round: Case Study Interview
Experience: I took a moment to jot down some points, no one in the the panel seemed to complain(I guess :P). I suggest 5-6 possible strategies and elaborated specifically. Not much counter questioning( Maybe they liked the answer or maybe the question was a meager formality :P)
Tips: Again, nothing to be afraid of. Not the consultancy type cases where framework building and segmentation is necessary. Here they will try to judge your business acumen rather than your 'Case In Point' MuggPower.

Skill Tips: "Keep yourself updated. If you are reading ET regularly and have a fair idea about the case analysis strategies, it will be walk through the cake."
Skills: Communication Skills, Business Sense
College Name: IIT Kharagpur

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Duration: 45 minutes
Total Questions: 30

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Every one started very fiercely with the GD trying to prove their point right. I gave my points stating the short run outcome and long run outcome and therefore speaking initially for the motion and then against it. the game changer in GD round was the end of the GD where they asked me to give a short summary of the gd. ( this generally means that the jury felt that you have not spoken much and want to listen more to you so that a decision can be made.) after my turn their was another candidate which was asked to sum up the g.d to which in turn I replied taking the jury's permission and I concluded in the G.D.
Tips: So GDs are the most tricky rounds in a recruitment process because you don't know what the recruiter is looking for in the candidate their. try to come in the limelight for the right reasons. I was selected for the job directly from the GD round.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: It was a partner interview.. normal questions were asked about - what have you done. and if travelling is a problem for you.

General Tips: Do not lie to a recruiter. Just be yourself.
College Name: Hindu college
Funny Moments: there were 40 people who sit for the GD round . 8 got through for the next round ( my name was not there. ) which was a PI. all my good friends made It to that list of 8 people and then only two were selected out of those 8. the day ended , recruiters went back home and sent a list of three candidates which had the name of 2 selected candidates and my name which were selected for the final interview with the partner, it was funny how none of my best frds could not make it even after giving 2 more interviews than me . :p

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: The selection process was pretty long. It had a written test and 4 rounds of interview. For interviews you required a one page resume which was detailed but was point wise.

Round: Test
Experience: They asked us to write an essay in the written test in which I attempted the topic "Is Blogging a Modern way of expression".

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In almost all the rounds they asked me puzzles, numerical reasoning based questions. They also had a few HR questions in all the rounds. They were focused on understanding whether I had the right aptitude and logical reasoning that is required to shoulder the job responsibilities. In the HR rounds they asked me about my aims and inspiration, my strengths and weaknesses, and whether I will be comfortable with relocating and working on the weekends. They also inquired about the things that motivate me, how would I handle tough situations and about my views on working in a team. They were also interested in my values, and my upbringing and few questions on situations involving a moral dilemma.

They also asked me many guesstimate questions. One of them was to estimate the no. of street lights in Delhi. The also asked me a puzzle in which I had to tell how many small tennis balls can be fitted in a 6 litre glass.

They also asked me case studies on adwords. For example, they asked me to sell the adword Chaiwala. So be prepared to sell weird stuff and in this also they want to see innovation and out of the box thinking.
Tips: I would advise that you should prepare for puzzles. Also take your time while you are solving a case study or a guesstimate because they are not concerned about the time you take but about how logical your thought process is.
