Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - It's a short story that I would love to share. Because this one simple question changed my mindset. Most of the time, instead of understanding questions, we focus on words. Few months back, I attended an interview where at first I was asked few technical questions. Then after having some random talk, the interviewer asked me “tell me one thing that people will talk about you when you're not present”. When I heard this question especially the words, i.e. “talk” , “you” and “when you're not present” , I started thinking of negative points about me. Because obviously phrase like “talking behind you” popped up in my mind. And I told him something that may be they will talk about this xyz thing about me as I am not that good at it. After having some discussions, my interviewer pointed me out he didn't ask what negative points will people talk about me but the question was “the one thing that people will talk about me”. It could be good or bad. It was a veryy simple question.
