  • Q4. Last issue faced in any instrument and solutions.
  • Ans.

Last issue faced was with a pressure transmitter.

    • The pressure transmitter was giving erratic readings.

    • Checked the wiring and found a loose connection.

    • Tightened the connection and calibrated the transmitter.

    • Verified the readings and ensured proper functioning of the instrument.

  • Q5. Working principle of Radar level gauge.
  • Ans.

Radar level gauge uses electromagnetic waves to measure the level of liquid or solid in a tank or vessel.

    • Radar level gauge emits high-frequency electromagnetic waves towards the surface of the liquid or solid in the tank.

    • The waves are reflected back to the gauge by the surface of the liquid or solid.

    • The time taken for the waves to travel to the surface and back is measured and used to calculate the level of the liquid ...

  • Ans.

Control valve components, characteristics, and applications

    • Control valve components include actuator, positioner, and valve body

    • Characteristics include linear, equal percentage, and quick opening

    • Linear valves are used for on/off applications, equal percentage for modulating flow, and quick opening for emergency shutdown

    • Applications include oil and gas, chemical, and power generation industries

  • Answered by AI
  • Q8. Why so many holes metal pipe which is inside the tank for radar gauge.
  • Ans.

The holes in the metal pipe inside the tank for radar gauge are for pressure equalization.

    • The holes allow the pressure inside the pipe to equalize with the pressure inside the tank.

    • This prevents any false readings due to pressure differences.

    • The number and size of the holes are designed based on the tank size and fluid properties.

    • The holes also prevent any vacuum formation inside the tank during fluid withdrawal.

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Horrible experience:
Totally three rounds of interview where their first two rounds are technical and third round was behaviour interview . The interview went well and they informed me that the result will be announced after 2 weeks of time.
But even after 1 month , I haven't gotten any feedback from them , but the job application status changed to "No longer under construction" in the company's website .They were not even bother to give feedback to the candidate.
Exxon Mobil Bangalore team requires a lot of improvement in the way they are treating candidates and their interviews are very sub standard and needs lot of improvement .
Most of the interviewers were Ex Reliance industries limited employees who run their Own lobby and denying the opportunities for better candidates due to insecurity....So Exxon Mobil Bangalore is in a pathetic situation.....
