I applied via campus placement at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Calicut and was interviewed in Nov 2024. There were 2 interview rounds.

Round 1 - Aptitude Test 

"I applied via campus placement First round was an aptitude containing quant,english, logical reasoning and data interpretation (60 mins ,60 questions) plus technical round (30 mins,30 questions) conducted via Aon platform. Aptitude was easy but was a bit lengthy. Technical test was also moderate and covered all topics from mechanical core. After the written test there was a resume shortlisting for people who cleared round one.Prepare ur resume according to the role ur applying. From around 87 members 27 were shortlisted for GD round. ."

Round 2 - Group Discussion 

They divided us into 4 groups and group discussion went on for around 20 mins my topic was (Are ev vehicle's an efficient solution for pollution). In gd round listen to the topic carefully. Don't hesitate to put ur thoughts first donot interfere while other is speaking listen to them and put ur thoughts in a politeful way , mostly stick to the topic. After 20 mins the recruiters asked me to summarise the topic and i gave a brief summary keeping everyone's and my thoughts in mind. After GD 9 members were selected for the interview.Gd and interview happened on the same day.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Interview was mostly based on resume.Be clear with every small topic mentioned in the resume.After discussing few projects from my resume they asked me few behavioural questions, try answering the behavioural questions in star based approach. There were 4 recruiters in my panel one person was from Singapore office,2 from Bangalore and 1 from Mumbai.Everyone asked me few questions and they really looked into every small detail right from ur dressing style to the way you handled the situation.Do a good research about the company before going to interview it helped me a lot to crack the interview as we discussed what was recent collaborations of ExxonMobil in national wise and international wise visit the company website and have a better understanding about what excatly the company is doing.work on your communication skills as it is one of the most important factor they look in their candidate.Coming to core they haven't really asked me anything from core subjects as it was a management role but be prepared with any two of ur favourite subjects, heat transfer and fluids will be a good option. Results were announced right after all the interviews by evening and they selected 3 candidates.Overall it was a great experience for me all the recruiters were really friendly.I wish you all the best for ur placements

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I applied for a position in accounts and finance. I was informed that they do not hire freshers and consider only experienced candidates.
In first round work related questions were asked and they have high expectations. Second round was based on situational questions where candidate is supposed to answer on the basis of his own experience or with the help of some hypothetical situation.
Overall experience was good but do refer basic concepts of accounting before interview.
