Round: Test
Experience: In quantitative aptitude i dont remember the questing exactly but alsomost all questings are similer to the questions in RS Agarwaal.. In reasoning and analytical section they will ask puzzles and if u read shakuntala devi and jimmers puzzle book it is more than sufficient.. In verbal section they have given around 2 passages and 5 questions for each passage dont waste more time in this section because it is time consuming.. they have given some fill in the blanks questions where we have to search for synonyms and antonyms No technical section was there

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Basically i am from Mechanical back ground they dint asked any questions related to software.... They asked questions like how do you update your self regarding your technical knowledge... have you thought of any innovative ideas recent past..

Round: HR Interview
Experience: In HR they asked 2 situation reaction tests. 1)she asked my hobbies and replied playing cricket... she posed a question to me that if i was appointed as cricket team captain for M-Tech mech team how i select my team.... i answered purely by performance no partiality like that.. but she asked to think more then she answered for the questions as... I alone cannot select the team because in M-Tech there may be more that 500 students so i have to take help from some of my friends and this shows attitude towards team work.... 2) She asked one more question like if i am a boss and there are 5 peoples working under me.. my boss given me one work that has to be completed in with in a month... now it is the last day of month and still 25% of work is remaining how i handle that situation... I answered that I will answer to the boss that from next time i will finish 1 months work in 20 days itself so that we will not be facing this kind of problems next time.. then she told ok....

General Tips: Infosys recruitment wont concentrate too much on technical side... they concentrate on logical and analytical thinking and situation reactions etc... so go through puzzles from shankuntala devi and jimmers... and some analytical and logical sections from RS agarwaal
Dont concentrate on technical questions because they wont ask any technical questions... you must prepare well for the written test and Interview will depend on your logical and analytical thinking and situation reactions.. all the best.. hope i will see you in Infosys next year....

Experience: Resume based shortlisting initially.

Round: Interview
Experience: 3 rounds of interviews (15-20 minutes each)
 All topics were Metallurgy related
 Heat transfer, Phase diagrams (very basic Fe-C diagram), FEM-based technical questions, are concepts asked.
Tips: If they look interested in a particular aspect, pursue it, and drive the interview.
Be ready to be grilled on the things mentioned in your resume.
 For consulting companies alone (McKinsey and BCG), look at certain case studies. The book "Case in point", is a really good source.
 For most other core companies (like Reliance, Tata Steel, etc.), refreshing Iron and steel and Mechanical Metallurgy courses will help a lot.

Experience: Questions were based on basic maths and english but time duration as per level of questions was very less. I was hardly able to attempt 90 question.
Tips: Firstly attempt questions from the topics in which you are more comfortable. Don't spend much time in thinking.

Experience: As I am from statistics background ao they asked me questions from regression and inference in depth. Rest all question were from basic stats. And yes they ask question from everything what is there in your resume.
Tips: Be ready for question from everything what is there in your resume and prepare them in advance.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was easy and hardly last for 10 min
Tips: Be confident on whatever you speak and prepare for general HR questions in advance.

Experience: Online Test:Quant, DI, verbal, and coding45 minutes coding + 15 minutes verbal + 30 minutes quant
Tips: Time constraint will be the major problem. CAT preparation would sufficeBrush up your coding skills- concentrate in either C or C++ or whichever language you're comfortable withE.g.: The coding question- Write a function to find if a number is palindromeBrush up through basic data structuresGraph theory and few sorting algorithms

Tips: Be thorough with the work done in your internships and projects. Be ready to answer why you are interested in the company.Maintain your confidence level in the interviews. They also look for good communication skills, and even leadership, which is evident from the way you conduct yourself through the interview.Practice quant questions, prepare answers for all the basic HR questions.Coding, go through sorting algorithms, FOR, Graph theory.Digital IC design is very important courses. Experience: Deloitte selection procedure involves a written test which is
same as CAT format (certainly not that tough). Though I had not joined any test series to prepare for it, but I must strongly recommend that you should actually join a test series (provided by Career Launcher or
TIME). This test series will actually help you to synchronize your mind to the format and moreover it would help to refresh the question solving skills which you used to exercise while preparing for JEE.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: general topic is given (mostly it is as to how you would go for implementing a new type of technology in a company, and hence you all have to decide the stepwise procedure for the implementation), then whole of the group is called in presentation room where each one is told personally to speak about the same topic as that of GD. This constitutes
second round. Finally, if you clear it, you get to face the interviews.
Tips: From now onwards, start reading newspaper daily. Just give at least one hour reading the editorials from newspaper and make it your habit. Not only for GD's, but for life in general, its very important that you should have a certain view about things happening around you and in the world and newspapers are the best thing which help you form your views and also know about the expert opinions on day to day topics. So, make sure that you read newspaper daily.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: For interview, main thing is that you should be well conversed about everything you have mentioned on your resume. So, before you go for any interview, just make sure that you can speak about for 5 minutes on
every single thing in resume. Deloitte is a company which is open for all the btech students and hence its mainly looking for the students who have a right attitude and are good at their interests.
Tips: have a perfect set of communication skills. I had not done
any special type of preparations for the interview or group discussions but all these skills actually developed during these years. I would advise that in order to gain more confidence at speaking, you should start taking challenges from now on and should actively participate in any sort of debates and GD.

Experience: One written test. It contains four sections. Each section is of 15 minutes duration.
Tips: Prepare for general aptitude and learn the basics of C, C++ and Java.

Tips: You must show your confidence and maintain eye contact with the interviewer.

Experience: The questions were of this type-


1. Given a tree and all the leaf nodes form a double linked list ( complete tree is given ). How do you find the height of the tree?
2. an array of negative and positive numbers are given. find all contiguous subsets whose sum is equal to zero.

Round: Test
Experience: The difficulty level went up, with questions like-


1. Find Longest Increasing sequence subject to some constraints.
2. An array is given of size n and the elements are in the range 1 to n. Some elements are missing and some are repeated. Find the missing elements and find frequency of all the repeated elements.
3. Three arrays A, B, C. find subset a in A, b in B, c in C such that a + b + c = 0

Round: Test
Experience: Really tough test, with questions like-


1. A tree is given, make a linked list of leaves.
2. for amazon online store what data-structure is used. That is hierarchical structure
3. Asked about make file. How do you club into a single object file.

General Tips: Before making the shortlist, you'll have to sit for an Online written test. The test consists of two parts.
One part will concentrate on aptitude and output of C programs.
1. aptitude, 2. C aptitude, 3. Operating Systems and Time complexities etc.,
Second part will be coding Questions
1. One Question on Trees - definitely
2. One more simple questions on string manipulation

Experience: The process is a little different. It started with a Group interview in batches of 4 —- (total shortlisted – 28)

General Tips: They will start with a specific question and they dig deeper. Stay calm, chill panel. Prepare the HR given above
