Interview Preparation Tips

Round: HR Interview
Experience: I was asked to give my brief introduction. In my response I briefed in very short about my location, family background including siblings, my academic (SSC, HSC, Graduation and Post Graduation) with any major achievement during academics like rewards, training or sessions attended along with any social activities pursued or volunteered and then I briefed about my Professional assignments during total work experience. I also briefed about my interests, hobbies, strengths and weakness.

This question was asked me twice (second time while technical Interview).

I was taking approx 4:30 to 5 min. for this activity while my preparations. I completed this briefing within 4 minutes while my 1st round as I forgot some points.
In 2nd round it took me more time as I added some more points on the basis of my 1st round of Interview like short brief over my projects, seminars and training executed while academics. The briefing was incomplete as interviewer started asking other questions.

Tips: I feel that self introduction is a criteria which helps Interviewer about your expressing power and detailing capabilities. As if you can represent your self effectively then you can also able to represent company effectively. It also helps to identify that how socially you are connected and will it help you to work as good team worker during stressed periods. Also projects, training and assignments may help them to understand your technical skill. So detailing in Brief introduction is very important.

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: During this round I briefed about myself.

I am an Engineer & even after 5 years of Engineering I am practicing engineering terms in current work profile so I can understand the requirement of Jobs. I can communicate well, read drawings, handle team, performing well in present job. The company is reputed, employee friendly & have a growth plan. I showed relocation anywhere company is willing. I tried to give satisfactory replies to technical queries.

Round: Final HR and Salary Negotiation Round
Experience: My salaries and CTC was discussed. Here I Tried very hard to give me a good hike but HR refused and informed about their limits. So later on we finally negotiated with a hike of 15% in existing package + some variable components & a Company provided accommodation. Here I learned that it is not always a straight forward CTC hike their are other ways to like accommodation and variable pay techniques by which you can even gain more then expected CTC hike. But One self need to keep the mind wide open and in continuous thinking mode.
Tips: Always Listen what HR is offering and CAN do additional for you. Keep thinking ways to identify other benefits with wide open mind.
