A2Z Group Interview Questions and Answers for Freshers

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: I had a standard resume for this company as per our institute placement cell norms.I prepared resume keeping in mind the areas of interest that would suit the company’s requirements. The companies that recruit students from all departments tend to look for students who have studied non-technical/general management subjects during their study – I knew about this and while applying to non-core companies I specified my areas of interest as these subjects.

Round: Test
Experience: A2Z conducted an online written test. It was a character based test. Some questions asked were situation based. The test consisted of questions which once asked were framed in a different manner and asked elsewhere again. It was designed in such a way to ensure that no candidate after having answered one question contradicts his view in some other similar question – such tests are called psychometric tests. In one of the questions, they asked us whether we prefer working individually or in a group. This question was framed in several different ways later in the test.
Tips: Try to remember the questions that have been asked as this will help you not to contradict your previous answers.

Round: Interview
Experience: The final round was the personal interview. It was a technical plus HR interview. The technical questions were basically from Environment Engineering and Waste Water Engineering. They also asked me my IIT JEE rank and the reason why i wanted to join their company. The main idea was to gauge the seriousness of the candidate for the company.

College Name: IIT Roorkee
Motivation: I got to know about the company and the profile through the pre-placement talk held by the company. The company was founded by an alumnus of IIT Roorkee and hence there was a lot of hype about this company in the campus.
