It's the Mindset , every time they are thinking of cost cutting. They don't use Microsoft office, Outlook, Teams...you can understand the label of cost cutting. And CTC and the amount you will receive is different.

No worry about layoffs, 100% Job security until unless you are within the policies of tcs

... fresher. Company never care about employees who joined the company as fresher. No Salary improvement. Lots of effort to get single promotion even if you are eligible. Intentionally giving b or c band during appraisal. No career development.

Apart from Salary on time and job security, nothing is good here. Especially for freshers

No appraisal, no appreciation, no promotion on time, no fair rating, no Indian holidays, Had to work on Diwali, Chhath,Durga Puja, etc. No release from project. You get stuck in one project forever. No HR support. HR is of no use. Disgusting management. No career growth no financial growth. No exposure.

Honest review after working for 7.6 years in TCS Everything is great at TCS except compensation, promotions and hikes

Compensation is not par with the market standards. If you were a fresher, only way to survive is to get an onsite opportunity or Wings. Your CTC will be 7 LPA with 7 years of experience even with good appraisal ratings/band if you don't switch. This applies irrespective of the technology/skills/roles/responsibilities. PS: I'm talking about IT itself, not BPO. Few more cons: Revoked anniversary hikes to lateral hires starting from April 2022. All promotions were on hold since past one year Annual hike percentage remains same even when the industry is performing well.

Many projects to work on. You will get exposure to a lot of latest technologies. Very good health insurance schemes. Very clean offices.

Dislikes

Won't pay you money. Very biased top management and too many prejudices
