Salary is decent compared to industry average. Also, You don’t need to worry about the job security unless you are really bad. Work life balance depends on which line of business and what team are you working.

Dislikes

Promotions are too slow compared to your peers in US or UK. A person will stay as an Analyst or Associate for years and your peer will become a Vice President or even an Executive Director within the same timelines. Your promotions are hardly based on your performance and mostly based on how much good relationship you have with your manager and how much the management has endorsed you as a brand.

JPMC is a good brand name to work with. If you're in the right LOB with the right people above you, the opportunities you get can be very good. The company provides free transport facility which can be a boon if you're working in a city like Mumbai or Bangalore. Job security is great here.

Dislikes

...folks gang up and make it difficult for new joiners to keep themselves relevant. While the pay is good, it is nothing compared to the trouble one goes through. If you're planning to join JPMC, throw the word 'meritocracy' out of your dictionary.

Work culture is not so good. Some managers won't even give respect to the team members. Team members are not so collaborative. Toxic work environment. Everyone will be always waiting for chances to pull you down.

Working in JPMorgan has been a great experience. Starting from package increament work life balance is been very good

Only issue is here the technology they use is very old and knowledge growth become stagnent after some period of time

Very poor senior level management. All peers in the leadership group are not healthy people to work with. They think shouting on the floor and warring with people will get the job done. The moment you start questioning the logic behind their decisions they are hell bent on ruining the life of people. These people require a lot of mental health assessment. False promises and dirty politics are their forte. If all you need is money then this is the right place. For mental health please shift asap from here.
