Dislikes

Poor hike in pay year after year with most years gone without any. Many managers not invested in their resources. The project culture like in most service companies makes one feel that one is merely a head count rather than a person. Unless you work alongside a good manager, it seems like you are on your own to forge your career in the company.

Likes

Capgemini has been very supportive to employees during COVID and has introduced many ways to help and support not only employees but also their families. It has got really good projects to work on and they encourage to do more learning and certifications sometimes relevant and sometimes irrelevant which is a bit disturbing and the follow-ups to do them even if irrelevant is quite frustrating.

Dislikes

...decent hike. At least I have not seen a double digit hike even with a promotion. Always the hike for seniors is 2%, no change in salary letter or no letter too. Nothing is transparent. Juniors get decent hikes. Also they get promoted regularly as per policy. They realize and offer a very good hike to retain only when an employee resigns. They do not have any value for an employee when they stick onto the organization. Appraisals are done in November only for entire year but you don't see a compensation change letter till March end which is also a strategy to make employees not decide anything till they see a letter. HR policies are worst. Mostly they don't maintain a database to see if a person has attended an interview already. They keep sending them for interviews even if panelist mentions that he is rejected last week only.

A few people are the only thing I liked about CAPGEMINI.

Dislikes

No employee friendly policies. Employee delight is least bothered. Compensation and benefits are terrible. Low or no responsive HR and aristocratic leadership. Politics at every step, values and ethics are only for name sake.

Likes

Salary paid on time which is very important for any employee to continue to work with company and also the Training part which is also very all employees to learn as much as they can.

Dislikes

There is not promotion for some employees if they are exceeded 4-5 years or more which is not good culture for any company.

Likes

They just want us to contribute at all the level by helping us getting trained and certified.

Dislikes

Very bad appraisal structure and compensation benefits, you might join at high salary cap but within a year or so you will be under paid
