its not a product company , its worst than services company too much of politics ,every day discussion will be only about RSU , stocks , immature idiots are in Manager position , My advice after real experience , quality of work is worst than service company you will forget all your skills .For god sake don't join seeing CTC or RSU as you don't know when you will be your last day in company

VMware used to be a great company work but since it's acquisition the culture has been different. Great tech to work. Good RSU and stock options.

Dislikes

It is more into business with less care about the employees after Broadcom acquisition. You will get paid higher salaries with a fear of getting fired every quarter. It could be based on your performance or teams performance. Bonus calculation is also very brutal.

Vmware was great company until the broadcom acquisition, Always been my dream company to work at but since the acquisitions lots of layoffs are going on and situation is not that good. But still for someone who is not impacted it's a great company to work at.

Dislikes

Vmware being a mature company you can't expect a lot of development tasks if you are a junior engineer with around 1-4 years. I feel this as a negative point because in my previous company I was working on building a product from scratch so compared to that the learnings at vmware are less.
