Old code base is not refactored, limited learning wrt new technologies. No importance is given to improving performance or doing it in a right way- as long as it works- no one wants to touch it. Some people are there for a long time, some of them are very best they can get but some are there that are just there cause they grew there. Such someone demands to be a manager and then even when they do not know basics of managing a team, the team is stuck and such a setup can cause a lot of trauma for the team under such person. They started wfh soo early, and they started preparing for it from January itself. This is something I would really like to appreciate. Compensation was also great this year a little bit less than other years but still good , all in all covid 19 didn't really affect the work or compensation except that we have to wfh and work life balance has become hard to manage now.
